Debutant for Ferryhill Tom Orton recent signing from Brandon getting man of the match Goal scorer dangerous number 9 Shane Snaith hitting a 20 yard screamer with the outside of his foot leaving the goal keeper flapping like a bird.

SHILDON RESERVES 5 V 1 BIRTLEY FC
Huntley Hatrick sinks Birtley
A stunning hatrick from Shildon reserves skipper James Huntley put the home team on track for a 5 1 home win. The early part of the game was fairly even but the home team struck first through mom Huntley. Cameron Wilkinson and Stephen Clifford then scored 1 each to give the home team a 3 0 half time lead. The home team took control of the second half and a further 2 from mom Huntley put the home team 5 0 up. Birtley never gave up and Paul Carlton scored a consolation for the visitors. A special mention for 3 16 year olds Connor storey, James Blackmore and Robbie Anderson all made their mark on the game with storey and Blackmore hitting the woodwork and storey having a goal chalked off for offside, unfairly in my opinion.

BISHOP AUCKLAND RESERVES 3 V 1 HARTLEPOOL FC RESERVES
Both teams competed in a very competitive and even encounter; that was edged by the home side. Bishops went 1-0 up after 5 minutes - Liam gains lovely reverse ball was met by a perfectly timed Pickford diagonal run, allowing the winger to slot home. Hartlepool were back in the game some 15 minutes later as a free kick was headed into his own net by the returning Thomas Iley. The rest of the first half was an even yet bitty affair, with chances created by both.  The second half followed a similar pattern, with perhaps the home side having the better of the chances. Alex Cantwell forced a stunning save from the visiting keeper, before no are Maughan fired straight at him when 1 on 1. Eventually the winner came as Alex Cantwell blasted through the keepers legs, before Pickford powerfully added his second to seal the points!

Horsley Hill’s young players found it tough going today eventually playing out a 3-3 draw with a physical Wallsend outfit. Levi Collins 2 and an Excellent 30 yard free kick from Houshby ensured the Hill gained a hard fought point. Adam Bell was outstanding for the Hill and gained the MoM award
