SEDGEFIELD NETPark 2 v 4 WALLSEND TOWN
NETPark had a nightmare start with keeper Matt Smith leaving the
field after 3mins with a nasty gash to the leg, John Shepherd volunteered to go
in goal. First half there were equal chances for both team but the reason why
Wallsend will win this league is their front two are both a handful and good
finishers, they lead 0-2 at H/T NETPark had a great change to pull one back
when Adam Strong was clean through on goal and was brought down, no card given,
Lee Butterworth smashed the penalty against the bar. A good finish put Wallsend
in a commanding lead 0-3, substitute Phil Bland pulled one back 1-3 which made
NETPark push on. A quick breakaway made it 4 to Wallsend although Shepherd lost
it in the sun (the low sun caused havoc for both teams all game) 1-4.
Veteran Brian Fairhurst pulled one back from the spot late on 2-4 but it was
too late for NETPark....... Full time 2-4
BIRTLEY TOWN 2 V 4 BISHOP AUCKLAND RESERVES

at half time it remained 0-1 to the visitors Bishop Auckland Reserves. After

goalkeeping from the Birtley FC keeper it remained 0-1 until the 52' when
Bishop Auckland Reserves went 0-2, Birtley FC made it 1-2 when Jack Kelly
scored. Bishop Auckland then went on to score on the 68' and 70'to make it 1-4.
