Shildon visited Sherburn without a defeat in 7 and flying high in there league Sherburn knew they were in for a tough game. Shildon started very strong and put Sherburn under pressure from kick off. Some great flowing football from Shildon in the first 10 mins put Sherburn on the back foot. Two great saves by Sherburn’s keeper David Pritchard kept it 0-0. Sherburn soaked up the pressure and started to get organised. The game then ebbed and flowed with chances falling to both teams. A ball from defender Tim Edwards down the right found Karl Hutchinson who turned, took on the defender and slid the ball through to Ryan Bell who went past a defender to slot the ball into the bottom left corner of the net 4-2 to Sherburn. Shildon didn't throw the towel in and the last 5 mins saw them pile forward to try to salvage the game. Sherburn stayed strong and saw it out. A great game of football by both sides.
