Turnbull 2, Hope, Brenkley brought a 5-0 victory to Sherburn Village

Sunderland Oddies v Hartlepool Reserves – Game of 2 halves Oddies were 2-0 up in the first half hour with goals
from Michael Bulmer, and if it was not for Graeme Swinbourne in the Hartlepool
goal the score could have been a lot more
half time score 2-0. 2nd
half Bulmer completed his hat-trick going round the Hartlepool Keeper and
scoring. 3-0 to Oddies this seemed to wake Hartlepool up where they show
greater possession and more determination and 16 minutes into second half
Hartlepool pulled a goal back with Dom Laffin coming from midfield rounding a
defender and shooting low into the goal.
Tom Hickey made it 3-2 on his debut scoring from a good four man
move. 75 minute Hartlepool reserves
equalised with Elliott Beddow drilling home from edge of box. Oddies looking for a winner hit the post late
on but the points were shared final score 3-3. MOM for Sunderland Oddies was
Michael Bulmer, MOM For Hartlepool was Elliott Beddow
Sunderland Redhouse Last Orders v Durham City Reserves – Andy Brown opened
the scoring for Durham early into the game and after missing a couple of
chances doubled their advantage with a goal from Dominick Hogg following a good
ball from Jez Allen. Chris Pattison made
it 3-0, he was also involved in the 4th goal as he won a penalty
which Craig Mountain scored. Jez Allen
made the score 5-0 and that’s how the first half finished. 2nd half 16 year old Kyle Patton
scored his first goal in senior football, and shortly after that he scored his
second and Durham’s 7th.
Patton then turned provider for James Huntley to score his first goal
for club. A great ball from Lewis
Edwards helped Kyle Patton to his first ever hat trick to make it 9-0. Sunderland got a consolation goal back to
make it 9-1. Jeremy Allen finished the
scoring with his second of the game to make the score 1-10 to Durham
Washington AFC v Brandon United Development – A young Brandon
squad travelled to Washington and started the season with an emphatic 13-0 win,
2 goals each from Robson Brown, Ryan Burton, Adam Burnham, Jay Balfour, Jake
Williamson and 16 year old Corey Haslem and one goal from Dylan Dowd. The game played in a good spirit a credit to
both clubs
Whitburn Village FC v Bishop Auckland Reserves – Bishop Auckland started of very brightly with a goal on 5 mins scored
direct from a corner by Connor McEvoy, and 7 minutes later the lead was doubled
with a brilliant team effort down left hand side before Jordan Maughan tapped home.
Half Time 2-0, Same story second half with Bishop dominating, the
impressive McEvoy got his second goal from the penalty spot. Alex Cantwell made it 4-0 with a half
volley. Bishops Goalkeeper Craig Foster
pulled off a stunning one handed save to preserve his clean sheet and Shaun
Pickford wrapped up the 3 points with a mazy powerful run and a cool looping
finish from 25 yards. MOM went to the
ever impressive Connor McEvoy
No games today for Blackhill and Ebchester FC,
Coundon and Leeholme Youth, Sunderland University FC, Wallsend Town and
Wheatley Hill FC
