SUNDERLAND ODDIES FC

Michael bulmer opened the scoring after 15 mins with a volley finish from a cross

Getting beat 3-1 when Martin Thompson fired past the keeper

Bulmer scored his 2nd of the game late on with a drive into the top corner to make it 3-3

Ebchester started the brighter of the two teams and were pushing early on. However, it was Sunderland who took the lead. A good ball in from the right hand side and the forward buried it. The home team kept pressing and found an equaliser through Agnew, a powerful finish from 25 yards. The home side then took the lead through Agnew, firing home another rocket from 25 yards. Half time 2-1.

Sunderland oddies came out the second half fired up and were pushing from the off, against the run of play the home side doubled their lead, the ball came out to Hannant 30 yards out, he faked inside into his weaker foot and curled the ball straight into the top corner leaving the goalkeeper with absolutely no chance. Sunderland Oddies kept going and with 15 minutes left they got back into the game, the ball fell to the edge of the box and the midfielder put into the bottom corner. 5 minutes later they levelled the match, a good save from the keeper fell to the Sunderland player and he put in the back of the nett. A game of two halves ending in a draw.

KILLINGWORTH YPC

The two blues notched 6 against Killingworth, who had started the new season in impressive form. In truth, it was relatively one sided with the scoring opened by Sam Joyce, after a great run from Liam Gill at right back. Liam Woodfine doubled the lead after rounding the keeper to open his reserves account, before Gill himself powered home from a tight angle. Connor MacEvoy notched the 4th after a well times forward run and through ball from man of the match, Tom Fisk. The visitors did hit the bar with a long range effort, but Woodbine rounded up the first half scoring at 5-0 on the whistle. The second half was again mainly two blue, with Jordan Maughan completing the scoring midway through the half. Killingworth never gave in, remaining competitive, but in the end a well deserved victory for the home side.
